It's actually quite scary. Not Freddy Kruger scary or anything like that, but going back after soooo long. I'm happy to announce though, with thanks to a fabulously supportive hubby and friends I am going back to school. Yup! i am going back to earn my Associates Degree. Afterwards, I will focus on obtaining my Bachelor's Degree. I've received word that I am being given a Pell Grant and will more than likely start the beginning of next year. I still have to get all of my items in for that semester, but I am grateful right now that everything is falling into place.
So....Yes, changes are a foot, but good changes.

Woot Woo! Here's the secret- students who return to school later in life get a MUCH better education. You're there because you want to be there and have a better idea how the world works and can thus more practically apply the knowledge there to be obtained.
I went the traditional route and graduated at 22. And I shortchanged myself because I still had the 'high school' mentality- thinking I was just there so I could get a job later. If I were to do my same program again, at my age NOW, I'd be twice as educated because *I* would be mature enough to seek it out. Best wishes to you!
Tammy that is fantastic news. Good for you. You will do a fantastic job.
Congratulations- I'm so proud that you're going back to school! You're inspiration!
Hey Tammy!
You haven't posted in awhile and just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. Hope your Thanksgiving was great & thinking of you.
