Yes, the one on the left....She is a fabulously gorgeous, faithful incredible woman. She is my rock and my best friend. We met...well....How did we meet? Maybe it was church? I don't remember, but what I do remember were our calls after a long day at work. Here's how it went:
"Hey....what do you have in your fridge?"
"I've got....(naming anything that hadn't gathered fuzz in the back of my fridge)"
This is how many of our covnersations started. In the end we would put our leftovers togetheer to create our Hobo meals and then they would come on over and we would eat out by the pool while the kids splashed away. Or we would gather at their house for movie night. Life was a blast!!!
And then they moved.
And then we moved.
And then life happened.
And yet, we still e-mail, call, laugh, cry about our lives in general. We all have people like my friend Christine in our lives. They are the rocks we lean on when we aren't strong enough. They are the ones who can make us smile when we feel like crying. I am grateful for this woman. She stands tall with the Lord by her side. She smiles brightly when behind her eyes she is aching and hurting. She stands strong as an incredible mother who supports her son on his mission while inside she worries at him being so far away out of the country.
Today, I challenege you to think of the friends you have who serve as inspirations and are your rocks when you need them. Drop them an e-mail to let them know just how much you love them.
